What are the Three Skills that you have taken away from EQWiP HUBs?
✦ Communication Skills
✦ Interpersonal and relationship- building skills
✦ Forward-planning and strategy
What Differences do you see in Yourself Since the Training?
I had the flair in communicating before I joined EQWIP but after the training course I can say that my communication skills have been shaped and I've become more proactive. Aside that, my interpersonal relationship has improved and I'm making use of it in my current position.
I remembered when Bennie (Facilitator) taught us how to plan. This skill is helping me put strategy in place to achieve my current position’s vision and missions.
What Advice do you have for Job Seeking Youth?
Hmmm….. I will encourage them to be proactive and forceful in self-building. I always say that we are fortunate to be part of the technological world and we should make good use of our time. We should be open to opportunities and be ready to learn and pick up from people.
I will entreat all young people to take part in EQWIP HUBs programs. This program has opened many doors for me including landing me multiple job interviews, which have lead to job, offers.
The program also gave me an idea to open my popcorn joint known as Pop castle popcorn. For me, EQWIP Hub is a family of opportunities. They are very welcoming and nice to be with whiles attaining your dreams.
I will like to take this opportunity to thank the management (home and abroad|) of EQWIP HUBs for such a program. I will also thank our facilitator Mr. Benjamin Offei and the Accra Hub for their time, patience and friendliness towards us. God bless us all.
